Our business history
Marcia Ann Country is a privately owned company which was begun nearly 22 years ago as a hobby and quickly became a full time job for Marcia Ann Mollet, a busy mother of four and wife of a South Dakota farmer. For many years, the business consisted of handmade craft items including florals, dolls and woods for home decoration. Marcia soon decided she loved the darling country doll prints so much, that she wanted to make life-size versions of them so that we could wear them and dress our own little dolls in them!

Each of the Jumpers, Vests, and accessories are original designs patterned after the cute doll cloths that Marcia made so many years ago. They have become very popular, and the Little Girls Frill Dresses and Lace Trimmed Pinafores just seem to get more and more precious with each new season! Everyone especially loves the fun country themes and colors and the wonderful coordinated button trimmings.

Marcia has always taken great pride in making something really special in each and every item. These are not the type of clothing you will find on the racks in the retail stores. Each is an original and each has exacting detail and the finest of workmanship. It is exquisite or it is not a Marcia Ann original.

Marcia now employs many wonderful seamstresses who work in their own homes, hand sewing each beautiful item. Marcia designs, cuts and finishes each item herself, then travels throughout the mid-west bringing them to all of her wonderful customers to enjoy. In these visits with customers, she finds exactly what they love and does everything she can to incorporate their desires into her clothing designs.

A few years ago, she began a catalog featuring her creations and is now receiving calls daily for her new mail order business. Her last big step has been to present her clothing to cyberspace with this Web site. This site presently contains a sampling of her line, present and past.
